Spring Steps 2025

On March 29th at Ekichika Plaza, JR Okayama Station, the Okayama Breaking Culture Association ran SPRING STEPS 2025. Three age divisions split BREAKING 1 vs 1 across the day — Kid (≤ elementary), Teen (≤ HS) and Open. Entries came in from across Chu-Shikoku and Kansai, with travelers from Fukuoka and Singapore landing on the covered station-front floor.

Open went to PIYO LOFI (Osaka), who beat drill (Kagawa) in the final. PIYO LOFI took out towa (Hyogo) in the semifinals, while drill came through a TOP8 three-way against Ace and seiya before reaching the showdown. Teen went to towa (Hyogo) over kiichi (Okayama); towa had double-entered Open, reaching TOP4 there too — two divisions of dancing in one day. Kid opened the title slate when RENTA (Amagasaki) took out bboy rito (Okayama) for the first trophy of the evening.

Judges were dawnie (Sweet Coast BreakBoys Club), OSHIO (KOBE SURVIVOR / OLD/NEW) and mino (High Roof Crew); DJ NOV -Roger Groove- (K9CREW / kicks orchestra) and Long Neck shared the booth, with Ku-chang (Okayama B-boyz / High Roof Crew) on the mic. Sponsored by Innosho Forestry, Blue Ocean Smart Systems and zerosta, and supported by Okayama City and the Okayama Urban Sports Association. Full tournament info sits on the Judgames page; every frame of the day is in the shared photo album.
