Akeome Battle — Okayama's New Year dance battle running since 2005 — moved to TERRA SQUARE (formerly MOVEUP CAFE) in Tamachi, Kita Ward on Saturday, January 20, 2024. Dancers from seven prefectures (Okayama, Hiroshima, Kagawa, Ehime, Kochi, Tokushima, Hyogo) shared the same floor for Regional Breaking 3v3, College Freestyle, and U15 Breaking Solo — three brackets running in parallel over seven hours.
In Regional Breaking, XIII-Kikan held momentum straight through the final and took the title over Kagawa's rising La-plus. College Freestyle opened to free entry this year, with a new preliminary format combining individual / tag / crew battles into a single ranking for the top-4 cut. In the final, Kawasaki University of Medical Welfare's stepper's Crew edged SBF 2-1 — ending the seven-in-a-row run and denying the eighth. U15 Solo returned after two years: 32 entries fought through circle preliminaries, and Roman (Okayama) took the crown with a balance of finesse and power.
