On March 23rd at Kurashiki Ivy Square, steady morning rain pushed the Okayama Breaking Culture Association's SPRING STEPS 2024 out of the planned courtyard and into the Aimi Red-brick Hall. Three divisions ran in parallel: Breaking 2v2 with 21 crews, Freestyle 2v2 with 14, and Shuffle Allstyle Team — a randomly-drawn bracket — with four teams. Entries came in from across Chu-Shikoku and, for the first time here, from Vietnam.
Breaking 2v2 went to local duo B.C. Okayama (Roman and Eba, Kurashiki), who beat Tuesdays (CAN-D and HOPE, Kagawa) in the final. Freestyle 2v2 went to Eba & Drill — Eba (Kurashiki) paired with Drill (Kagawa, HighRoof) as a one-off cross-genre duo — over おかや〜まんず (sayaka and Chekera, Okayama). Eba had entered both divisions, reached both finals, and landed both titles. Shuffle Allstyle Team kicked off the afternoon of champions when TEAM D took out TEAM B for the day's first trophy.
Judges were dawnie / takashi / AYATO on Breaking and TAKKAN / RIO / AYATO on Freestyle; DJ SENSE (Akashi Breakers) manned the booth, and TOKKEY handled MC. Four food stalls — ChRoNo coffee, Café&Bar Armonía, Cafe&Bar KAG and the yakitori stand Harukaze — kept the hall quietly humming through the day. Full tournament info sits on the Judgames page; every frame of the day is in the shared photo album.
