Spring Steps 2026

On April 11th at Ekichika Plaza, JR Okayama Station, the Okayama Breaking Culture Association ran SPRING STEPS 2026. Three age divisions split BREAKING 1 vs 1 across the day — Kid (≤ elementary), Teen (≤ HS) and Open. Entries came in from across Chu-Shikoku and Kansai — Okayama, Kurashiki, Soja, Kagawa, Kochi, Hyogo and Yamaguchi all landed on the covered station-front floor.

Open went to Mebius (Kochi), who beat りょーた (Kagawa) in the final. Mebius took out Kazu (Okayama) in the semis after outlasting CAN-D in TOP8, climbing through an out-of-prefecture run to the last match of the day. Teen went to RENTA (Amagasaki) over Lil ISSIN (Kurashiki); RENTA was last year's Kid champion, claiming back-to-back titles one division up. Kid opened the title slate when GAKU (Kagawa) took out TORAJI (Kobe) for the first trophy of the evening.

Judges were DAMP (SINCE / KOBE Survivor), Onton (Supernaturalz / United Rivals / Strugglez) and EBA (Sweet Coast BreakBoys Club); DJ SINSK8 (TURKS / ULTRA BRA1N) and Long Neck shared the booth, with Ku-chang (Okayama B-boyz / High Roof Crew) on the mic. Sponsored by Innosho Forestry, JOHNBULL, Kamons, Nishi-Nihon Housing Support and zerosta, and supported by the Okayama Urban Sports Association. Full tournament info sits on the Judgames page.
